Creative Library
Bring footage, audio, images, scripts, notes, references, project files, and previous work into one useful workspace.
Hybrid AI for creative professionals
Studio Catalyst helps creative professionals turn scattered local material into searchable, contextual, AI-assisted flow. We are starting with video editors: large media libraries, references, scripts, B-Roll decisions, project context, and the work around the timeline.
Product
Studio Catalyst is not a new NLE, not a file browser, and not a generic chatbot. It is a hybrid AI operating layer that helps creators find material, understand context, organize projects, prepare actions, and stay in flow without replacing their existing creative tools.
Bring footage, audio, images, scripts, notes, references, project files, and previous work into one useful workspace.
Search by speech, visual content, meaning, metadata, reference image, or project context, not just filenames.
Start with video: suggest B-Roll, references, and useful material from the creator’s own library.
Prepare repetitive work such as renaming, extracting audio, exporting segments, generating chapters, and handoffs.
A secure assistant that can explain, suggest, and prepare actions while asking permission for sensitive work.
Editors keep using DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, and their current workflow. Catalyst supports the work around them.
Why this exists
For video editors, the timeline is where the visible edit happens, but a lot of the real work happens around it: finding the right clip, remembering where a reference is, matching B-Roll to a sentence, preparing files, checking previous projects, and moving material between folders, drives, and the NLE.
Most creative tools are powerful once you are already inside them, but the surrounding workflow is still fragmented. Generic AI assistants also miss the context that matters: local media, project state, references, tools, and privacy constraints.
Studio Catalyst is our attempt to build that missing layer: useful AI assistance around creative work, with the professional still in control.
Human + AI collaboration
Studio Catalyst is not treating the AI agent as an add-on chatbot. The product is being designed so the human user and the AI assistant can work over the same project context, tools, actions, and creative memory.
The agent is designed to use workflow tools efficiently: search, project boards, utility actions, handoffs, and future integrations.
Context can be scoped across projects, series, clients, assets, references, previous decisions, and recurring workflow patterns.
The assistant can learn from user feedback, repeated choices, project history, and approved memories while keeping the user in control.
Media indexing, project context, tools, provider routing, permissions, and agent memory are separate systems that can evolve independently.
Waitlist
Studio Catalyst is in active pre-launch development. Join the waitlist to receive product updates, early prototype invitations, and beta access when we start onboarding creative professionals.
Trust
Creative professionals often work with client footage, unreleased projects, and personal material. Studio Catalyst is designed as a hybrid or fully local system depending on the user's hardware, workload, and privacy needs.
Lightweight AI and indexing can run locally. Heavier VLM, agent, and reasoning workflows can use cloud providers when that is the better fit.
The product is designed for models that can reason over creative context, visual material, project state, and user intent, not just text prompts.
When cloud AI is used, the product is designed around minimizing retained file information, using only the context needed for the task.
Users with enough hardware should be able to run a fully local setup. Others get a practical hybrid path that preserves editing performance.
Studio Catalyst
We are in active pre-launch development and preparing the first focused prototype: local creative library indexing, multimodal search, project-level context, and an AI assistant that helps around the user’s workflow. Tentative launch window: late August through early September 2026.
